Dejhare - Lovescape

Dejhare, which is pronounced deɪ-Jhar, is a Pop music artist. Through her music, Dejhare connects with her listeners in a meaningful and personal way, truly captivating her audience. Last year, we checked out Dejhare’s EP, Plead The Fifth, which stands as a truly special release and today we are back again to listen to Dejhare’s latest EP, Lovescape!

Lovescape begins with “Light Up” which shines bright as an opening track with its uplifting nature. This song has a real dance feel to it that would play well in a club setting - or on the radio; this track has a real “driving fast down the highway” kind of vibe to it as well. “Drawn To You” follows and it is a deeply passionate display which touches on the early stages of a relationships and the corresponding feelings. There is a certain softness presented within this song that I found to be deeply enjoyable. “Under A Spell” is the third song from the EP and its deep soundscape matches its meaning in such a powerful way. Indeed, this one has deep, rich feelings of love and it embodies what so many of us strive for in our relationships.

The fourth song from Lovescape is “Like A Fool”, which is also the shortest song from the EP. Touching on a dark, toxic side of love and relationships, this song is definitely a personal piece from Dejhare, though I also feel like its lyrics are deeply relatable to anyone who has been in a toxic relationship in the past. “Nobody” follows and it feels like an immediate sequel to “Like A Fool” as it touches on the scars left behind by a toxic relationship after it is over, as well as the struggle to move on towards a brighter future. For me, this was my favorite song from the EP in both meaning and sound.

“Going Solo” closes out Lovescape and it serves as a great closing for both the EP as a whole and these final three tracks that are about relationships gone wrong. I enjoy how the first three songs from the EP touch on the positives of love and relationships while the final three cover the dark side of both; Dejhare navigates intense emotions so effortlessly and these songs are full of easily relatable lyrics.

As these songs touch on love, relationships, and both positives and negatives of both, I feel that Lovescape is the perfect title for this EP. All of these songs have a great radio-Pop feel and with runtimes between two minutes and fifty-five seconds and three minutes and forty-two seconds, their length matches that concept as well; I feel like this EP is tailor-made for some high exposure radio and streaming airtime and that each song has broad appeal. That said, at no point does Dejhare lose any bit of that personal touch that she is known for and I find a great deal of genuine charm within this EP as a result. Make sure you keep up with Dejhare through Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and her website and find her entire discography here. We have Lovescape embedded below via Spotify and you can also catch the EP on SoundCloud!
