An Introduction to Neoborn Caveman
Neoborn Caveman is a music artist whose goal is to bring people together and show that when we are united, we can overcome the bad times. His music covers a diverse level of themes with influences from many different genres and his lyrics always have a great deal of heart. Today we take a listen to several of Neoborn Caveman’s tracks to get a feel for the sound and messages presented in his music, with a special emphasis on the track “12 Ways of Love”.
The first track we will listen to today is the primary focus track of this article, “12 Ways of Love”. This track is full of great joy and contains lyrics that are personal to Neoborn Caveman. Melodically, the song draws you in from the outset and absolutely flourishes in the chorus with its delightfully catchy nature. Instrumentally, the track is excellent with the instrumentation matching the catchy vocal melody; an 80’s dance club beat helps add to the enjoyability of the track and overall, “12 Ways of Love” is perfectly produced - balancing things the way they need and letting the performance shine. Perhaps Neoborn Caveman’s finest song, the deep message of love in this song reverberates magnificently and is a beautiful display of Neoborn Caveman’s mission statement about love. I truly believe that he accomplished his musical goals with “12 Ways of Love” and the song has a profound and important meaning that is timeless and relevant.
Next up is the electrifying “Where Is The Direction”, which is Neoborn Caveman’s most played song on Spotify - a true hit in the making. This song features a more straightforward approach than “12 Ways of Love”, and it suits the overall theme and tone. “Where Is The Direction” is reminiscent of 70s and 80s hard rock, full of punchy percussion and reverb-soaked guitars. The lyrics seem existential in concept and overall the song is a great one to play loud and rock out to.
“Echoes of Life” is a much more minimalist song that helps to illustrate Neoborn Caveman’s incredible range when it comes to writing songs; some are uptempo and aggressive instrumentally and some, like this track, are more subdued and feature a completely different artistic approach. Again in this track, the lyrics are quite personal, though the themes this time are much darker than we saw in “12 Ways of Love”. The unique way that Neoborn Caveman handled his vocals on “Echoes of Life” also stand out as something completely different and pleasantly unexpected. This track has received critical acclaim from listeners and is an excellent display of Neoborn Caveman’s skills.
The next track we checked out, “Change”, features an almost cinematic instrumental approach that at times sounds both like it could be film score and as if it was from an 80s film. Neoborn Caveman’s vocal approach varies in this song, featuring at times a lower raspy tone, then more of an uptempo melodic approach. The blend of this varied vocal approach with the distinctive instrumental portion of the song made this one a special delight to listen to and showed off quite a bit of Neoborn Caveman’s rich musical capabilities. Lyrically, the song is a deep and resonate call for change, a truly relevant and meaningful message in today’s world.
“Counterfeit Love” shines as a great mixture of the various musical techniques that Neoborn Caveman has shown us up to this point. The instrumental portion of the track is exceptionally bouncy and impressively melodic - I could listen to just that part of the song alone for hours on end - and the vocals just make the song even better. Vocally, the track is yet another great melodic work as Neoborn Caveman sounds almost exasperated as he sings his heart out. This song seemed especially personal and is yet another strong song from Neoborn Caveman.
“She Is Not The Girl” features another take on an 80’s club beat, with this one bouncing and bumping even harder than Neoborn Caveman’s other tracks that feature a similar style. I found the beat in this song so easy to dance to and this would go well on any dance playlist. The synths in the track were very spacey and added a great degree of texture to the song. Neoborn Caveman sings in an almost artificial sounding way - kind of akin to a robot - which was a very interesting and surprisingly catchy melodic approach that succeeds brilliantly. This is Neoborn Caveman’s second most heard song on Spotify and certainly one of his most interesting songs.
We definitely learned a lot from listening to Neoborn Caveman’s songs; he is an artist full of passion who brings a unique approach to the table with each and every song. Most of all, he stands for a strong message of love - something that is truly outstanding. Doubling back to “12 Ways of Love”, Neoborn Caveman is so full of love and his desire to spread those great feelings is something that helps to make him an outstanding music artist. In addition to the songs we featured here, Neoborn Caveman has two upcoming singles that will be released soon, the reflection-focused and nostalgia filled track “You Were My Savior” and the brilliantly grounded and almost spiritual sounding “Now I Am Free”.
