Calhuis is Canadian R&B duo featuring members Harrison Caldeira and Jordan Vyfhuis; the group is based in Toronto, Ontario. Somewhat enigmatic, this talented duo is new to the scene and are already garnering attention for their sweet R&B style. Today we take a dive into “XO”, which is currently the only track from Calhuis available on Spotify.
From the outset it is clear that “XO” is sultry, sensual and passion-filled R&B track. Instrumentally, the track has a bluesy nature to it which immediately sets up the vibes that Calhuis were going for in their lyrics. The vocal performances really carry the track, with the vocal tone matching the lyrics perfectly; a great deal of passion and heart shines through, really making the track’s lyrics feel exceptionally real and genuine.
