Ceo Carter is a well traveled hip-hop/rap artist who has shared the stage with names like Yo Gotti, Curren$y, Nipsey Hussle and Future as well as other up and coming artists. Ceo Carter prides himself on his “no-limits” attitude and chose to call himself Ceo not just because he is the boss of his brand, but also to reflect his creed in life: “Conquering Every Obstacle”. Today we take a look at Ceo Carter’s top-notch song “BRF”.
“BRF” is a showcase of Ceo Carter’s quick-hitting and skillful flow which is the driving force throughout the majority of the track. The beat is expertly produced and starts off in the background underneath Ceo Carter’s vocals before gradually ramping up and hitting stride at around the 0:27 mark of the song when the percussion kicks in. Lyrically, the song discusses making money and some of the consequences of hustling, culminating in a spoken word segment that ends the track discussing doing what you are good at to make money as a “trap” - the only option available to make meaningful money.
“BRF” goes pretty hard and is an outstanding display of Ceo Carter’s musical skills. The track does a great job of displaying Ceo Carter’s genuine skill and all of the potential he has to continue to rise in a career that already has had some great successes.
