Chrystal Copland - Fade into You
Chrystal Copland is a singer/songwriter currently based in New York. In addition to her blooming music career - she has already reached over 13,000 listens on Spotify - Copland is also a model. Today we take a listen to Chrystal Copland’s cover of Mazzy Star’s 1994 single, “Fade into You” - the band’s only Billboard Top 100 charting track.
“Fade into You” is a track that manages to be both calming and passionate in its presentation; Copland’s cover does an excellent job of producing this same duality while also showcasing her skills. Indeed, Copland’s spin on this 90’s classic manages to stay very true to the original while - perhaps more importantly - highlighting her enormous singing talent. Copland’s cover of “Fade into You” is extremely easy to enjoy and I feel like it would go well with a playlist full of calming acoustic songs or, if you are like me and have one, a 90’s covers playlist.
All in all, Chrystal Copland’s cover of “Fade into You” is a solid introduction to a talented artist. Currently, Copland has two other tracks released this year, “Way Out” and “I Saw U” that are also worth checking out; after having listened to these three tracks, I feel as though Chrystal Copland has a lot of potential to go somewhere with her music career and I am looking forward to seeing where she ends up.
