Davy Williamson - Thin Disguise
Davy Williamson is a hard rock multi-instrumentalist from Wilmington, North Carolina. Active since the mid-90’s, Williamson has been a part of several bands spanning several genres, all the while adapting his role and skillset in those groups. Today we take a look at the first single from Davy Williamson’s upcoming EP, “Thin Disguise”, which has already racked up nearly 50,000 listens on Spotify.
“Thin Disguise” is a mid-tempo hard rock song with a forceful nature. Featuring tight, precise guitar work, “Thin Disguise” has a lot of layers to it, giving it a rich texture that is sure to please fans of most hard rock genres. Lyrically, the track calls out an individual, with the singer stating he sees through the titular “thin disguise” they wear, the kind of message that is often prevalent in music of this nature - and this theme blends well with the song’s instrumental. Davy Williamson really bares his soul in his music and “Thin Disguise” is a marvelous display of that effort, as he crafted an intelligently written and diligently performed track that hits heavy and hits hard.
