Demon Mine - Flamefarmer

Demon Mine is an electronic music artist who creates industrial trap music. With a style self-described as “distortion and dissonance, grotesque and burlesque, in rhythm and harmony”, Demon Mine has a gritty and creative method for song creation. A solo act, Demon Mine does everything in the music process including music editing, promotion, videos and art. Today we take a look at Demon Mine’s album, Flamefarmer.

Opening with the gritty “Cactus Wind”, Flamefarmer starts strong and never really lets up. The metallic and distorted synths featured on “Twist Top” ended up as my clear favorite on the album, with the song feeling like a much longer - in the best way possible - and more engaging experience than its short one minute and forty-second run time. “Outside!” features an approach that makes the first part of the song feel like a countdown and the ending portion of the song feeling more like a strong payoff. “Mr. Midnight” had vibes that at times felt like I was listening to a horror movie soundtrack, a vibe that I really enjoyed with its slightly unsettling but darkly appealing energy. The album closes with “Tartarian Templar” which plays like one last curtain call for the grounded energy of the album. Featuring something of a blue collar, down-to-earth and steely sound aesthetic, Flamefarmer is filled with intelligently crafted tracks from start to finish and stands as one of the most unique experiences available in electronic instrumental music.

Throughout the duration of Flamefarmer, we get a strong sense of Demon Mine’s metallic trap sound; with an approach more akin to that of a blacksmith, Demon Mine’s tracks are gritty and expertly crafted, featuring creative melodies and a distinctive production style. With a sound that could easily rise, be sure to keep an eye on Demon Mine; you can follow Demon Mine on Instagram @real_demon_mine and be sure to check out Spotify for more releases.
