Don’t Skip is a music experience brought to you by guitarist Serge Meulenberg and singer, songwriter and producer Harald Bruijstens. These two artists come from different backgrounds in music, allowing for some distinctive beauty to come through in their songs. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on Don’t Skip’s latest single, “To be loved” which features the efforts of talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist nettO!
“To be loved” comes in at three minutes and thirty-eight seconds of pure musical bliss. I cannot say enough about how uplifting and refreshing this song feels; this is truly the kind of Pop song that hits in a meaningful and memorable place. While purely a pop song, the track has some trace elements of the Dance flavor that Don’t Skip incorporates into their music, also giving the track some impressive bounce to it that makes it a lot of fun to come back to over time. The vocal melody pairs perfectly with the instrumental, giving a very melodic and textured listening experience that is just a lot of fun overall.
I honestly think that “To be loved” is a beautiful and truly spectacular song that will get you hooked on Don’t Skip. I also hope Don’t Skip collaborates with nettO again sometime soon - the collaboration here was truly perfect.
