DreamEater - Magic
DreamEater is a Future Funk/French House/Chillhop artist from Los Angeles, California. A solo act, DreamEater has been active since 2007 and has spent that time experimenting with many different sounds in an effort to carve out his own place in the music world. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on DreamEater’s single, “Magic”!
A catchy song that has some real bounce to it, “Magic” shares some Indie Rock vibes with the world. The first thing that caught my attention in this song - and something that still holds my attention every time I listen - is the bassline; it is a danceable hook that DreamEater was able to build the whole song’s rich melodies off of. For me, the vocals were the real highlight of the song, really driving the song in a way that ensures you will want to come back and listen many times. From top to bottom, the production on this song is phenomenal and I found myself impressed by how richly textured “Magic” is.
As the first song I have heard from DreamEater, I must say “Magic” really impresses; it is one of the seven songs off this artist’s new album Press Start and it definitely makes me want to check out that full body of work.
