Examining Chris Doss' Production in Aubree Dieckmeyer’s Armour Up

Have you ever heard a song on a television show that you just had to find and add to your playlist? Today we have that exact kind of song - “Armour Up”, by Aubree Dieckmeyer which was produced by Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer Chris Doss! Known for specializing in modern Pop, Doss has worked with many well-known artists as well as worked on music production for many films and TV shows. We are excited to share our thoughts on “Armour Up” and Chris Doss' important role in making this song great!

For starters, “Armour Up” is an absolutely brilliant release from start to finish and it reminds us why Aubree Dieckmeyer was a well-received contestant on American Idol. That said, I truly believe the reason “Armour Up” shines so brightly is because of the production and writing work for this one. Indeed, Doss served as a co-writer and was the reason for the ballad’s beautiful string arrangements. These strings, along with the entire backing instrumental, pair perfectly with Aubree Dieckmeyer’s vocal talents to create some real magic and the song as a whole is so perfectly put together that you really will begin to get an idea of why Chris Doss is such a sought after producer.

Although “Armour Up” was released nearly a decade ago, it really is a phenomenal release that I would have been remiss for not writing about. Chris Doss is still very active in the music industry and “Armour Up” has served well to make me want to dig in to more of his writing and production credits. You can keep up with Chris Doss through Instagram and inquire about a project with him through SoundBetter. We have “Armour Up” embedded below!
