Gary Pratt - Something Worth Remembering

Gary Pratt is a singer/songwriter who specializes in a unique country sound. Hailing from Slicksville, Pennsylvania, Pratt has been the front man for many bands in the Pittsburgh, PA area, though he also has experience across the Nashville club scene. Today we dive into a truly memorable review, Gary Pratt’s album titled Something Worth Remembering which will be released on March 5, 2021 and is dedicated to his late brother.

Something Worth Remembering features both tracks that Pratt wrote by himself as well as tracks penned by top Nashville songwriters. “Before Someone Gets Hurt” has massive radio potential with its combination of relatable lyrics and powerful melody. My favorite from the album is the gritty “Til’ Your Boots Are Dirty”, which gatekeeps the term “country” in a way that I find positive, identifying the things that truly gives someone the right to call themselves “country”. Closing the album is the title track, “Something Worth Remembering”, which really punctuates the album’s meaning while standing on its own as a truly memorable track. In the end, Something Worth Remembering really has a refreshing take on modern country, retaining that ease of access to the sound but giving something more in terms of meaning and melody.

Full of excellent tracks from start to finish, Gary Pratt really brings something entertaining to the table with Something Worth Remembering. Pratt, a man of faith, has a certain spiritualism to his music that is undeniable and it really gives his sound an additional boost that makes it an even higher quality listening experience overall. I recommend enjoying Something Worth Remembering in order - from front to back. You can find Gary Pratt on Facebook, Twitter and his website. Keep an eye out for have Something Worth Remembering releasing on March 5th!
