“Sounds Like Whiskey to Me” is an authentic sounding and relatable song. Indeed, I can definitely relate to the lyrics in this song on a personal level; after a particularly long day of work, there is nothing better than kicking back with a nice glass of whiskey and relaxing - as Pratt implies in the song through his mentioning of drinking beer, this is reserved for the harder moments. This song plays as a humorous piece, though Pratt’s thought process and experiences described in this song may be a bit less so and this approach fits his Country vibe perfectly.
