Gregory Hickman Williams - No Images

The late Gregory Hickman Williams was a vocal prodigy, originally from St. Louis, Missouri. A classically trained pianist, this well-studied artist was best known for his amazing singing talent that captivated audiences. Today we are very excited to share our thoughts on Gregory Hickman Williams’ song, “No Images”!

“No Images” comes in under two minutes in length but is sure to resonate with you. This song is a stripped down live performance, featuring just Gregory’s soulful vocals and a beautiful piano as accompaniment. Gregory’s vocals carry this track and he brings a great deal of passion to the song’s beautiful lyrics; there is so much beauty and strength in his performance that I found myself deeply impressed. The recording of this song was taken from a show that Gregory and Sharon Manuel put on at Sharon’s church, Trinity United Methodist in Berkeley, California, and I must say I wish I was in attendance to witness this beautiful song performed firsthand.

Amazingly, this song was once thought to be lost and that no recordings of it existed; this tape recorder recording is the only known recording of this song and for many years, it was thought there were no recordings at all - I am very glad someone decided to bring their recorder on that day in the 80’s! Although Gregory Hickman Williams is no longer with us, I am glad that we can still experience this amazing artist’s music; you can find the stirring “No Images” embedded below!
