IAMMAG - Hurt
IAMMAG is a twenty-seven year old hip-hop music artist from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A distinctively creative artist, IAMMAG is doing some special things within the rap game. We have previously checked out IAMMAG’s single, “I’m a Thot” and today we are excited to share our thoughts on his song, “Hurt”, which comes from his EP Heartless!
“Hurt” runs for three minutes and eight seconds and the track provides for a richly textured listening experience. This track features a deeply emotive backing instrumental which serves to bring out the emotions in the vocal performances and lyrics in a way that I found to be both accessible and meaningful. “Hurt” has an undeniable R&B feel to it that really brings out the strengths of all of the artists involved; in addition to IAMMAG, Josie and Kurupt feature on this track and these three come together to make a truly special song.
I keep throwing the word “special” around to describe IAMMAG but I think it is a great word to describe this artist’s big talent and awesome songs.
