Infused with a rich Reggae sound, “Set Me Free” is an engaging and quite interesting song. With Ganja-themed lyrics, this song is a stoner’s delight and I think anyone who has ever partaken in that lifestyle will get a real kick out of this song and find it enjoyable. You can easily hear Joe Boris’ psychedelic influences in this song; his guitar work is specifically reminiscent of that era of music and I think it pairs extremely well with both the lyrics and the overarching Reggae vibes this song gives off.
It is encouraging to know that “Set Me Free”, in all of its splendor, is simply one of Joe Boris’ 30 songs from the two-disc album Anthology and I am excited to check out more from this album.
