PHELIXX LAKE is a Metalcore project from UK-based music artist TJ Whiting. New to the Metalcore scene but already making waves, PHELIXX LAKE showcases an impressive heavier side to TJ Whiting’s songwriting than his other projects. We have previously listened to a collection of songs from PHELIXX LAKE as well as the song “Trapped” and today we are back to check out “Devastating Outcomes”, which features Joel Dickson, vocalist of Dream Demon!
Pleasingly heavy and impressively melodic, “Devastating Outcomes” is a modern Metalcore masterpiece. An electrifying instrumental will make you want to get up and move, providing the kind of energy fans of heavier music will crave. For me, the most impressive part of this song is the vocals - and melody work - featuring perfect trade-offs between clean and melodically dirty techniques, with both Whiting and Dickson really gelling together perfectly.
