Reginald Furtick and Mohaiminul Prodhan - Rolling Fork Revival (Orchestra)

Reginald Furtick and Mohaiminul Prodhan are both talented music composers. Together, these two composers have been working on an orchestral album that is set for release in the near future. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on “Rolling Fork Revival (Orchestra)”, a piece composed by Reginald Furtick and Mohaiminul Prodhan and the second single from their upcoming album!

A story told through music, set in the key of A minor, “Rolling Fork Revival” serves as a tribute to the lives lost in Rolling Fork and Silver City and other communities in Sharkey County, Mississippi. The song progresses through multiple stages representing the events of that night; it begins calm - a normal day in Mississippi - before progressing into a much more foreboding sound. Things take a brighter turn with sounds of triumph representing the heroic efforts of rescuers and the outpouring of support from the rest of the nation. As the song closes with a somber, reflective but hopeful piano, we are reminded of how quickly things can change, the power of nature and most of all - the strength of a united country.

I believe that “Rolling Fork Revival” stands as a beautiful re-telling of the events of the night of March 24, 2023, as well as a stirring tribute to those who were lost - as well as those who have since reached out to help rebuild these small communities in Mississippi. We have “Rolling Fork Revival (Orchestra)” embedded below via Furtick’s YouTube page and you can donate to disaster relief for this tragedy through GoFundMe.
