Talwiinder - Save Me
Talwinder Singh Sidhu - Talwiinder - is a musician who grew up in Punjab, India before moving to the United States at the age of 14. According to his Twitter, he currently resides in Davis, CA. Talwiinder does not particularly know or care what genre his music may or may not belong to, preferring to let his music do the talking for him; this is also the reason why he covers his face in his pictures, the focus should be on his music. “Save Me” is a recent release from this talented artist, a track which exhibits strong hip-hop vibes.
“Save Me” features a very subdued but still catchy beat that gives off a groovy vibe throughout the duration of the track; the production is sublime and gives off a very polished and appealing sound. Talwiinder’s vocals flow extremely well throughout the song and it is easy to hear a lot of heart in his vocals. Although the track is not performed in English, Talwiinder provided me with some insight into what the song is about:
“Save Me” is “about a girl talking to her significant other to save her from this cruel world and their bad energy and take [her] far away from here”.
This kind of message is one that most people can relate to right now as the world around us seems to be falling apart at the seams. It is definitely the kind of relatable experience that makes me find Talwiinder a truly endearing and relevant artist in today’s music scene.
“Save Me” is a track that is easy to groove to and is the kind of song that hits well in a dark room when you just want to be alone; I was in the perfect mood for this track when I first listened to it and it resonated powerfully with me. The track is a great introduction to Talwiinder’s music and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to check this awesome track out.
