The New Occupants are band that gained an international following in the 1980’s and have returned to entertain. Mr MooQ is a seasoned solo artist known for his storytelling approach. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on the combined efforts of The New Occupants and Mr MooQ through their new single, “Super Boom”!
“Super Boom” is a song that has an upbeat feeling to it, though that nature is only thinly masking darker undertones. Indeed, this song’s vocals and lyrics take on the perspective of an all-powerful artificial intelligence, providing a grim warning of the possibility of a dark AI-led future, including use of deepfakes, despite that overall upbeat vibe. I must also say the music video is worth watching and gives a great visual interpretation of the lyrics.
