“The River Runs Through” comes in at four minutes and forty-five seconds, all the while putting Uncle Greedy’s poetic songwriting style at the forefront. A deeply emotive song, both Uncle Greedy’s vocal performance and the instrumental portion of the track align and provide a rich listening experience. Indeed, the deeply textured backing instrumental is extremely pleasant, striking nostalgic chords through the use of an acoustic guitar, piano, violin and more; while there is a lot going on in the instrumental, it never feels too busy, instead serving as a strong foundation for Uncle Greedy’s heartfelt lyrics and vocal performance to pair with.
