Walter Rossi (ft. Kyla Lynn Vezina) - Jingle Jangle
The late Walter Rossi (b. May 29, 1947, d. April 29, 2022) was an Italian born Canadian musician with a decades-spanning career. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on Walter Rossi and Kyla Lynn Vezina’s single, “Jingle Jangle”, our first Christmas song of the 2023 season!
Groovy as can be, “Jingle Jangle” quite literally rings the bell to kick off the Christmas season. The highlight of this song is definitely the vocal work of Rossi and Vezina, with the best parts coming when the two harmonize; Rossi’s lead work is warm and tender and Vezina’s backing vocals give the song some real emotional oomph. Overall, I really enjoy the genre-blending approach in this song with elements of Pop, Blues, Funk and Jazz all fusing together to create a warm and resonant sound.
I thoroughly enjoy “Jingle Jangle” and I know all of you will, too! Rossi’s inventiveness and talent shine bright in this song and I just love how Kyla Vezina and Rossi come together in this one.
