Working Class Hussys - Elaine

Working Class Hussys is an Americana-Rock Band helmed by multi-instrumentalist Ian Patrick Gentles. Gentles is also the chief songwriter of this project which was formed in the early 2000s and has gone through many iterations; currently, Gentles’ wife Patti Crowell is a background singer and handles managing and marketing for the band. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on Working Class Hussys’ single “Elaine”.

“Elaine” puts Working Class Hussys’ uniquely hook-y style on full display; every part of this track is catchy, from the vocals to the backing track and my personal favorite part of the song is the groovy bassline. The lyrics feature a reflective style as the Gentles sings to his childhood friend - the titular “Elaine”. This track is a true genre-bender, featuring elements that you would expect to find in pure Americana, 90’s pop rock and contemporary Alt-rock and I think it goes to show that Working Class Hussys is the kind of band you have to experience firsthand to truly experience their distinctive vibe.

I am wholeheartedly impressed by what Working Class Hussys does with their sound and even more impressed with their work with melody. I really cannot say enough about how this band’s sound is incredibly unique and is they create the kind of music you won’t want to miss. Keep up with Working Class Hussys through their website, Facebook and Instagram. We have “Elaine” embedded below for your listening pleasure!
