A Circle of Faith - My Lord and King
A Circle of Faith is a music project created by well-traveled producer and songwriter Allen Brooks. This one of a kind Christian music experience features many artists from across the world collaborating to create music written by Brooks; the Christian music produced by A Circle of Faith is quite different from the music Brooks has performed throughout the rest of his career. Today we take a look at A Circle of Faith’s track “My Lord and King”, an excellent introduction to what this music project is all about.
“My Lord and King” is driven by a well-orchestrated piano that accompanies passionate, powerful singing. Throughout the track, there are also some tinges of strings that accent the vocals and piano well, giving the song additional character and heart. The song’s lyrics indicate a great deal of love for God and the singer’s resolve to “stand up tall in the light that shines down from the glory of God”. Although the song does not feature many traditional rock elements, “My Lord and King” powers on with the thunder of an 80’s rock ballad, showcasing a deep love and trust of God by the performers; this is especially evident in the way the piano and vocals build at the end of the track, ending the track triumphantly.
“My Lord and King” shines as a powerful statement and incredible testament that there is still deep value in collaborative work between experienced musicians; A Circle of Faith’s tracks “My Lord and King”, “Walk With Me Now” and “Prayer Revival” features musicians from Canada, Argentina, Australia, Bosnia, Norway, Uruguay, Portugal, Germany and The United States. This project is outstanding and I recommend A Circle of Faith’s music to any fans of Christian music and rock music.
