Against The Voices - Memories I Don't Want
Against The Voices is a duo who make music that I would describe as alt-pop, featuring elements you would expect to find in alternative rock and indie pop with some hints of electronica. So far, this talented alternative duo has released two singles and a third track is on the way soon. We have been given a special opportunity to listen to that third single, “Memories I Don’t Want” in advance; the track has an upcoming release date of August 14th, 2020!
From the beginning of the song, it is easy to tell “Memories I Don’t Want” is a special track; the atmosphere presented during the first verse sets the mood extremely well and has a nostalgic feel to it that prevails throughout the song. The vocal melody is super catchy and the exceptional vocal harmonies are reminiscent of Tom Delonge-era blink-182. Through “Memories I Don’t Want”, Against The Voices manage to capture some important hallmarks of alternative rock while infusing a modern indie-pop approach to create an outstanding track that is both radio friendly and heartfelt, an important combination that makes this a track you won’t want to miss.
