Ashiq Romeo is an up and coming rapper, dancer and performing artist based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This artist’s unique skillset, namely his background in dancing, allows him to create a rhythmic experience that other rappers simply cannot replicate. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on Ashiq Romeo’s latest single, “YOUNOTREADY”!
“YOUNOTREADY” is a relatively short track, coming in under two minutes in length but quite a lot is accomplished despite its short runtime. Perhaps my favorite part of this song is how we really get a glimpse into Ashiq Romeo’s work with rhythm as this track has an incredible amount of bounce to it. The vocal flow in this song is also exceptional, pairing with the backing instrumental extremely well to make this track an enjoyably textured piece. I think “YOUNOTREADY” is actually benefitted by its short runtime, making it easier to play it on repeat.
In the end, I must say Ashiq Romeo has a genuine talent. Bringing his own unique spin to the rap game, I anticipate this artist continuing to rise as he releases more music and I am definitely excited to hear more from him.
