Bobbo Byrnes - Queen of the Party
Bobbo Byrnes is a singer/songwriter who emphasizes his storytelling abilities through his music. In addition to his solo material, Byrnes also features as guitarist/multi-instrumentalist for the band The Fallen Stars. “Queen of the Party” is the lead track from Byrnes’ 2020 album Seagreennumber5 (due for retail release on July 25th, 2020) and today we take a look into this talented storytelling musician.
From the outset, it is clear that “Queen of the Party” is a very well-polished and upbeat country-infused track. The instrumentation is well-written and performed and the production has a nice finish, making the track an easy-listening gem. Throughout the track, Bobbo Byrnes’ vocals hit home as he passionately sings about the titular “Queen”, using his storytelling talents to make the song very personable. Sublime vocal harmonies also add a very deep texture to the track, including the repeated line “mama said she’d be alright” during the latter portion of the song.
In the end, “Queen of the Party” serves as an excellent introduction to Bobbo Byrnes’ music while also serving the role of lead track for his album Seegreennumber5 very well.
