“kickback” has a lot of heart and soul packed within its less than two minute runtime. Campbell’s flow is extremely melodic and his vocal performance as a whole brings this song to life in a deeply appealing way. The instrumental portion of the track is very subdued though still slightly emotive; it serves its purpose extremely well by letting Campbell’s vocals do the heavy lifting while also showcasing how Campbell utilizes multiple genres within his music.
