S.A.E. - Chain Gang
S.A.E., which stands for Savages Always Eat, is a Hip-Hop duo based out of Lumberton, Mississippi. A talented duo, S.A.E. is releasing some great music that is worth a deep dive listening exploration. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on S.A.E.’s single, “Chain Gang”!
Coming in at two minutes and forty-two seconds, “Chain Gang” hits pretty hard with a groovy, bumping backing track and melodic vocal flow. Indeed, the rap performances in this song are extremely memorable and really carry the song as a whole; combined with the backing track, the overall rhythmic elements in this song are special. From “Chain Gang”, I really get the impression that S.A.E. know what makes a great Hip-Hop track and that they have the chops to really execute on that vision.
If “Chain Gang” is the first song from S.A.E. that you have heard, then let me be the first to tell you that all of their material is awesome. “Chain Gang” is a great introductory song for this group and definitely served as a jumping-on point for me.
