Crime Spree In Candyland - Endangered
Crime Spree In Candyland is a rock band based in Los Angeles. The band plays a blend of dream rock, indie pop and surf rock to create an eclectic rock sound filled with a unique vibrancy. Today we take a listen to “Endangered”, Crime Spree in Candyland’s single which was released on Friday, September 25th 2020.
“Endangered” has a dreamy nature to it, with catchy reverb-soaked vocals lending themselves to a sort of airy vibe; that said, the track is actually a realization that sometimes things just “[fall] apart”, which is eternally relevant and relatable. The delayed guitar and vocals in the bridge do an excellent job of tying the song together both instrumentally and thematically. While listening to “Endangered”, I couldn’t help but be reminded of one of my favorite bands, stellastarr*, with both the bass and female backing vocals during the chorus reminding me of the splendid work Amanda Tannen did for that band; these qualities in particular help make “Endangered” absolutely glimmer among other songs across similar genres and show off the distinctive dynamics that Crime Spree In Candyland is capable of.
Crime Spree In Candyland are releasing an absolute gem in “Endangered” and I cannot wait for all of you to listen to it yourselves - it is sure to go down as one of my favorite rock tracks of the month and probably the whole year. We have replaced the pre-save link with the full song and have that embedded below! Take a listen to “Endangered”!
