David Dave - So Sick
Born David Ekow Herman, David Dave is a musician and dancer. Originally from Ghana, David Dave moved to Germany with his parents and has since performed and taught dance all across Europe. Through his music, David Dave incorporates Electronic music into African and Urban Sounds to create something fresh. Today we listen to David Dave’s brand new single, “So Sick”.
“So Sick” is a track about being “sick of love songs” and the like. The track’s beat bounces and grooves, creating an engaging experience that sets the rest of the track up very well. Lyrically, the track is very relatable, walking us through a great deal of heartbreak, hopelessness and a desire to move on from a situation that once was great - though through David Dave’s admission that he can’t “turn off the radio”, it is easy to tell a part of him has not given up on love and wants to let that light back in. Through his mixture of African sounds and contemporary radio friendly polish, David Dave has created a real gem with “So Sick”.
