“Sometimes Hard, Sometimes Gold” certainly vibrates at its own frequency, providing a deeply introspective listening experience that is truly one of a kind. The lyrics in this track are complex, intelligent and passionate; I really like how well the lyrics match up with the energy set up by the instrumental portion of the track, with the vocal performance perfectly bridging all of these elements to create an extremely satisfying experience. You really get a sense of what Deadphonecalls is all about through this song.
