Electric Peace - Hate Is A Special Feeling
Electric Peace is a garage punk rock band from Reseda, California. Founded by Brian Kild, this group has an extremely enjoyable sound that really stands out. Previously, we wrote about Electric Peace’s single, “Dinah Might” and today we take a listen to “Hate Is A Special Feeling”.
“Hate Is A Special Feeling” is an up-tempo track with plenty of grit and attitude. Instrumental-wise, the track’s drums feature a very bouncy rhythm that guides the track while the guitar work adds some epic flair. The contrast between the more muted style of singing during the verses and the louder singing during the chorus makes this track really pop and helps it stay with you after listening; I found this track’s ability to stay with you from sound alone to be important because of the important commentary provided by the lyrics.
Electric peace is definitely an interesting group (even outside of their music, with Brian Kild claiming to have stolen gas from Kurt Cobain and having survived an assassination attempt) with a great sound that I really enjoy.
