Goyrd - Am I Fake
Goyrd is a rapper whose home town is Palatka, Florida. A rapper with a diverse skillset, Goyrd can capture both hype and chill vibes in his music. Known for his recent single, “Gucci Coochie”, a track about sex with a particular woman; Goyrd has shared an interesting story about being offered a show at a strip club where he would be paid based on male ticket sales - quite humorous! Today we take a dive into Goyrd’s single, “Am I Fake”.
“Am I Fake” is an existential examination of Goyrd personally as well as the music he makes. This track is mid-tempo with reflective lyrics and excellent flow; you get a real taste of what Goyrd is all about through this track which clearly comes from a genuine place. A question posited by this track: is Goyrd “fake” for crafting crowd-pleasing music? His argument through this song is a solid no, it is necessary to build his career and, as you all know, if the listener enjoys the experience then is the experience really inauthentic? I will leave the conclusion to all of you out there reading and listening but I will say that “Am I Fake” is easy to enjoy and presents Goyrd’s songwriting and performing style extremely well.
In the end, Goyrd is a very interesting rap artist with a lot of potential to rise. Through “Am I Fake”, we get a great look at his wordplay and writing talent and it is an outstanding listening experience overall. I think this track will be Goyrd’s next big hit, on top of the success he has already found through “Gucci Coochie”, and Goyrd is an artist you will want to watch.
