Half Cashed House Band - I Miss Buffets
Half Cashed House Band is a comedy rock band. With a great deal of wit and humor, this band’s well-crafted comedy music always finds a way to make their jokes land well. We have previously covered these self-proclaimed “legends in the making” and their EP Loveline which parodied Valentine’s day in a hilarious way and today we tackle their latest single, the ever-humorous “I Miss Buffets”.
“I Miss Buffets” provides entertaining commentary on the current state of the world - still largely closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic - and pokes fun at the missing something as simple as going to buffets. One thing that the world is united in right now is that feeling of missing normalcy, and whether it is buffets or something else entirely you are missing out on, I am sure there is some simple void left by the pandemic; this common element helps the humor in “I Miss Buffets” hit the funny bone a little harder. It is rather humorous coincidence that I drove by my favorite buffet (currently shuttered because of the pandemic) the other day and thought of how much I missed going. Now there is a song for feeling the way that I did in that moment!
