Maury - Summer
Maury is an alternative hip-hop artist from Central Jersey. Beginning his career at the age of 15, Maury bases his music on genuine experiences and emotions which can cause his music to have dark and somber vibes; that said, his music still often comes off as uplifting as well, adding a unique multidimensional aspect to his talents. Today we are happy to share our review of Maury’s single, “Summer”!
“Summer” is a dark sounding track that highlights the way in which Maury places multiple layers to find in his music. Instrumentally, the track’s bass definitely bumps though the rest of the track creates a slightly foreboding and unsettling air. In addition, Maury’s ethereal vocals really set the tone and add a deeply atmospheric element of mysticism while also adding a bit to that unsettling air provided by the instrumental. “Summer” shines in its somewhat unsettling nature, making it a track that you will want to listen to more than once to gain greater understanding; each time, you will find something new that adds to the vibe as well as gain a greater understanding of the well-placed mysticism within the track.
Through “Summer” we are introduced to an interesting artist who provides a lot of different - and unique - layers within his music.
