HeIsTheArtist - Childish
HeIsTheArtist is (He Is The Artist) is the name under which LeeMann Bassey began to perform after switching from secular music to worship music. We have covered HeIsTheArtist a lot here on Which Coast, listening to “The Snake Charmer”, “Virgin” and “If I Were a Virgin Again” at different points over these last several months and today we take a listen to another single from this talented artist, “Childish”.
“Childish” is probably my favorite release from HeIsTheArtist so far. There is a lot going on in this one and, from the outset, you will be drawn in by HeIsTheArtist’s unique vocal approach in this one. Indeed, while this approach is not so far out there that I would not expect HeIsTheArtist to try it, it certainly stands as the most distinctive track I have heard from him so far. A track with a lot of texture to it, “Childish” is a real treat for the ears; you will want to listen to this song over and over just to make sure you capture each unique moment that it contains, something that took me several listens to really grasp completely.
