HeIsTheArtist (He Is The Artist) is a Christian, Neo-Soul and Jazz artist from Central Islip, New York. At one time, HeIsTheArtist performed secular Neo-Soul music under his given name, LeeMann Bassey, though he learned that the Lord was his true calling and has since aspired to teach the world about the Lord through his music. Today we review HeIsTheArtist’s single, “The Snake Charmer”.
“The Snake Charmer” is HeIsTheArtist’s first foray into the EDM genre and this track is designed to set up the vibe for his upcoming Christian music which is set in Egypt. The track utilizes a pseudo hip-hop beat to set up the rhythm portion of the track while the remainder of this instrumental track really captures an Egyptian motif, truly succeeding as the introductory piece to HeIsTheArtist’s upcoming music. “The Snake Charmer” also does a great job of selling itself as the type of track that could literally charm a snake; excellent melodic and instrumentation choices really help bring this across well.
