HUNYMOONFAZE - 12:34
HUNYMOONFAZE is a rising hip-hop/rap artist who is ready to take the scene by storm. His music features a great deal of both passion and skill, full of emotive beats and rap bars. Today we take a look at HUNYMOONFAZE’s new 2-track EP, 12:34, which released on August 7, 2020.
The first track on the EP is “Last Night” (lofi-interlude), which - as the name would suggest - has a very lofi beat which gives HUNYMOONFAZE an immensely emotive platform to rap over. Lyrically, the song feels like it is coming from a personal place as HUNYMOONFAZE sings about intoxicated confessions, which is something I certainly can relate to. Overall, the track does a great job of showing HUNYMOONFAZE’s ability to rap in a subtle and emotive away.
“Break My Heart” is noticeably more up-temp than “Last Night” and plays more like a driving song. “Break My Heart” is masterfully hooky and is sure to get stuck in your head as it did mine. Despite its more banger-esque approach, the track’s lyrics deal with insecurity about wanting to pursue a relationship but not being able to trust. Although the track is certainly different compared to “Last Night”, it still contains that genuine passion that HUNYMOONFAZE’s music is known for and I think the different approaches found in both songs shows us how easy it is for HUNYMOONFAZE to capture a mixture of emotions and vibes in his music.
12:34 is an exceptional duo of rap tracks that serve as a great display of force from HUNYMOONFAZE; the EP definitely did not fail to please and showed off HUNYMOONFAZE’s deeply versatile skillset.
