JuJuBarzZ is a rapper whose Twitter bio indicates he’s from Sacramento. He is an experienced rapper with several uploads on Soundcloud; his only upload on his YouTube channel and new song is called “First Place” and today we take a listen to this unique song.
“First Place” features an expertly produced beat with a catchy and clean piano melody that shines bright throughout the song; this instrumental does a great job of setting up JuJuBarzZ’s lyrics, blending seamlessly to create an excellent and well-textured track. The lyrics of the song are about coming in first place; JuJuBarzZ triumphantly declares “I’m a young idealist, thinkin’ first place!” while discussing how he is “about to go and get it”. I definitely got a good feel for the drive and energy that JuJuBarzZ has when it comes to making his music and this song serves as a lesson to teach us what JuJuBarzZ is about.
JuJuBarzZ definitely takes the “Soundcloud Rap” genre and throws his own unique spin on it, providing some of the catchiest lyrics and strongest flow that I have heard from this genre in a long time. Although the song clocks in at barely over one minute, it gives us a great look into the energetic rhymes that JuJuBarzZ provides.
