Matt Westin - Thin Blue Line

Matt Westin is a country musician from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Known for his hit song “Hey Bro”, Matt left his promising career as an engineer to pursue his love for music and it has paid off well, charting on the iTunes Top 40 while also standing as a two-time International Music and Entertainment Association Male Country Artist of the Year. Today we’re taking a look at his newest single “Thin Blue Line” which will be released February 26th, 2021.

“Thin Blue Line” begins differently than most of Matt Westins’ other work, kicking off with an electric sounding drum beat before his classic voice tunes in. “Thin Blue Line” is an ode to the boys in blue and first responders; Westin explains that working as a first responder is more than just a job and that every day is a challenge risking your life to protect and serve. You would be pushed to believe Matt has either served himself or has a loved one who has, as he exclaims his respect for first responders from beginning to end with a few guitar licks in between. My favorite part of the song is when the drum beat returns as Matt Westin describes the duties of first responders as “a salute to the fallen heroes”.

“Thin Blue Line” is a salute to those who have lost their lives serving the United States people and his love and admiration for those who serve is hard to ignore; this track is truly a salute to the people that Westin looks up to. You can find Matt Westin on Facebook or his website and send this song to those you know who serve as they will surely appreciate what he has to say.
