Mowille ft. Damola Davis & Uchay - Sugar Daddy

Mowille is a Nigerian music artist currently based in the UK who draws influence from several genres including Afrobeat and hip-hop/rap. He does what he can to “lift up broken souls” through his music, certainly a noble endeavor, and performs in both English and Yoruba - his native tongue. Mowille partnered with Damola Davis and Uchay for his recent release, “Sugar Daddy”, his interesting new single.

“Sugar Daddy” features a brilliant instrumental track with a catchy beat that drives the song forward. Mowille’s rap flow is on point, interplaying with the beat perfectly and helping the track bounce in a way that made me want to get up and dance. The chorus in “Sugar Daddy” is exceptionally catchy - it will certainly be in my head for at least the next few days - and serves as a great hook. Lyrically, “Sugar Daddy” is very playful and is a comedic take on the concept of a sugar daddy and the type of romance that ensues from a relationship like that.

This humor-filled track does a great job of showing both Mowille’s distinctive sense of humor as well as his talent as a musician. “Sugar Daddy” is definitely not a track you want to miss! Make sure you check out Mowille’s Facebook to keep up with any updates and as as always we have “Sugar Daddy” embedded below - take a listen!
