STEFF is an Amsterdam-based singer/songwriter whose music navigates between Dutch Pop and Hip-Hop. This artist’s distinctive singing voice is easy to recognize and the tracks he creates are extremely melodic, filled with lyrics about his experiences with the world around him. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on STEFF’s single, “Licht Uit”!
“Licht Uit” is a brilliantly melodic Dutch-language track from STEFF. Indeed, we get a great taste of a lot of STEFF’s best skills - as well as his overall style - as the track switches between infectiously melodic Pop and some sweet Hip-Hop vibes. As the lyrics are in Dutch, I feel it is important to share the meaning; the lyrics walk us through two people who meet at a party late at night and are amazed at how much they have in common; since their attraction to one another is too great to resist, they keep looking for each other. I really enjoy everything about this song - it is the kind of track you will want to listen to a lot of times and just groove with.
It is clear to me that STEFF is doing some very big things with his music. No wonder he has already had some radio success, charting at number one with a previous single, “Zoden aan de Dijk” on the WILD-FM chart.
