Taouil - Bleed

Deric Taouil is a New York-based rock music artist who puts a great deal of raw energy into his music. Performing as just Taouil (which is pronounced “ta wheel”) is new to the scene but has great ambitions to “re-define energy rock”, a goal we can hear him well on his way to accomplishing with his electric debut single, “Bleed”.

“Bleed” is an aggressive song that heavily features brilliant electric guitar work. The lead guitar throughout the song is nothing short of superb, helping to guide the vocals and the song as a whole to brilliance; I especially liked the lead guitar during the chorus as it accents the vocals in a deeply appealing way. Lyrically, the song walks us through a lost love and some of the rebuilding process that follows losing such a love, a relatable and timeless message. “Bleed” is going to make you want to get up and move no matter where you are or what you are doing while listening to the track.

I found “Bleed” to be a track that sounded inspired by various rock artists of the 90’s and 00’s but you can hear that there is something more than just the sounds of the past in this song; Taouil sounds well on his way to re-defining his genre, just as he aims to, with the clever arranging and raw energy he brings to his music. You can keep up with Taouil through his website, Instagram and Facebook to learn more about this rising artist and his work. As always, we have “Bleed” embedded below - check it out!
