The Curse of KK Hammond - In The Dirty South

The Curse of KK Hammond is a U.K.-based singer/songwriter and slide guitarist. Influenced by legendary Delta Bluesmen like Robert Johnson and Leadbelly, this artist is a horror fan and incorporates some elements of the genre into her gritty Blues. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on The Curse of KK Hammond’s song, “In The Dirty South”!

“In The Dirty South” provides a one of a kind listening experience; the song undoubtedly borrows its roots from oldschool Delta Blues but it has a modern feel to it that makes it something completely unique. I adore the witty, dark and just downright creative lyrics used in this song and, combined with the vocals, stood out as a highlight for me. I felt absolutely blown away the first time I heard this song, it really is just unlike anything else out there right now - and I mean that in the best way.

You really will be hard-pressed to find a more distinctive sound out there right now than what The Curse of KK Hammond is offering up and I think “In The Dirty South” is the kind of song you absolutely cannot miss. You can keep up with The Curse of KK Hammond through her website and we have “In The Dirty South” embedded below via Apple Music!
