John Vento - Brick by Brick
John Vento is a legendary musician based out of the Pittsburgh music scene. In addition to his solo career, Vento is also a known commodity for fronting The Businessmen and Nied’s Hotel Band. We have previously checked out several of Vento’s awesome songs and today we are back to listen to “Brick by Brick”!
“Brick by Brick” has plenty of John Vento’s usual flair but also contains a bit more depth with a deeply layered and powerful instrumental. Indeed, the instrumentation on this song is at a level I have not previously heard from Vento; the guitar is electrifying, the rhythm section is absolutely crisp and the entire piece as a whole is absolutely energizing. Vento’s vocals, as well as those of his backing singers, are also their own jolt of electricity and I found myself energized while listening to this song.
I do not see myself ever ceasing to enjoy John Vento’s music - he really knows how to play to his strengths and bring his ideas to life in a big way.
