The Dirty Habit - Hourglass

The Dirty Habit is a band from New York City, New York. Consisting of vocalist-guitarist Zak Clapham and drummer Steven Ralich, this group is influenced by a variety of music, ranging from Nirvana to Taylor Swift. Today we take a dive into The Dirty Habit’s new single, “Hourglass”.

“Hourglass” is an honest sounding track featuring combination of pop and alternative rock. During the verses, an acoustic guitar creates a sound reminiscent of 90’s pop-rock, while the chorus features some powerful alt-rock vibes that hit nostalgic chords, full of emotion. I found the chorus to also be very atmospheric and was the part of the track I found myself drawn to the most. “Hourglass” finds its strength in the honest reality of the lyrics and the natural way in which the backing instrumental gives power to the words being sang.

Through “Hourglass”, you will be introduced to The Dirty Habit in a very powerful way. This track is exceptional and it makes me excited to hear more from this group. You can keep up with The Dirty Habit through their Instagram and make sure to check their Linktree to find their music. We have “Hourglass” embedded below via Spotify!
