The Good Grief is a music group from the United Kingdom that seems to incorporate various rock and electronic elements into their high-octane music. The latest single from this energetic band, “Down To Earth” is just the first of many upcoming releases from this group and I am definitely hoping that this track is a teaser of the good things yet to come.
“Down To Earth” begins with a hooky vocal melody as the backing track features mostly lower-mixed synth elements at the start so as to not take away from the vocals. As the first verse progresses, the track picks up adding more electronic elements into the mix, quickly giving it additional energy. Following the first chorus, an explosion of rock-stylized synth shows this song’s true colors: this is an easy to dance to bop of a track. Throughout the track, the lyrics repeat “drag us down to Earth”, hence the song’s title, and the vocals are definitely on-point throughout as the singer’s vocal energy matches the backing track to a T.
“Down To Earth” features both rock and electronic elements, providing a truly electrifying atmosphere throughout the track. This high-energy track would feature well on a club or party playlist and would also play well at the gym or on a run. It is easy to get a sense of the high potential and electrifying energy that The Good Grief provide from this excellent track.
