William S. Baek - Kenotic
William S. Baek is a singer/songwriter as well as a neurologist who was born in New York City, NY but lived in South Korea for several years before returning to the United States. His new song “Kenotic” comes from his album Humanity , his second album following 2018’s release titled Walk Again.
“Kenotic” opens up with a spacey sounding techno vibe that progressively builds as the song goes on, adding vocals and other instruments. After the drop at about the 1:20 mark, the bass and beat fully kick in and the song truly finds its groove. The pulsing club sound that Baek provides throughout the track made me want to get up and dance each time that I listened to the song - it’s truly an energizing experience to listen to “Kenotic”.
Overall, “Kenotic” proves that Baek’s music is very danceable; I could certainly see this song being played at a club and receiving a great reaction. I think this song as a whole proves that Baek has great potential to hit it big both in a club atmosphere and on pop radio.
