Year 2087 and Psychoid are two up and coming rappers, vocalist and producers who are based in Chicago, Illinois. Year 2087 started out his music career as a DJ and electronic music artist before transitioning into his current futuristic Hip-Hop style and he has continued producing as well. Psychoid has a lot of experience in many different Rock bands and is a rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Both of these artists have come together to release two awesome singles, “Psychoid” and “Live by the Beat”, which we are excited to talk about today!
“Psychoid” features Psychoid himself on vocals while Year 2087 handles the production in this one. Vocally, this track is off-the-walls awesome as Pyschoid really shines with some quick-hitting, aggressive and purely awesome flow that will leave you absolutely captivated after listening. I also think that the instrumental portion of this track goes just as hard as the vocals, providing the perfect compliment to what is an absolutely awesome performance by Psychoid - so kudos to Year 2087 here as well. As far as an end-result goes, this is an absolutely pulse-pounding and special track that has some inspired lyrics and a ton of energy that you will undoubtedly enjoy a lot. Meanwhile, “Live By the Beat” features production and vocals by both Psychoid and Year 2087 and it has a very intriguing soundscape. The way that these two rappers trade bars in the verses is absolutely awesome and their co-production on this track absolutely rocks as well, really providing a one of a kind listening experience. Indeed, the overall interplay - both vocally and instrumentally - on this collaborative song is absolutely special and between both of these songs, you get the sense that these two artists were destined to create some awesome music together. I cannot say enough about how well these two artists’ skills compliment each other and how that shines through in the music. This song absolutely dazzles and highlights the strengths of these two artists.
I must say that I was left truly impressed after listening to “Psychoid” and “Live by the Beat” - both of these songs are heavy-hitters and both the production and Rap performances on these songs is awesome. I want to hear more from Psychoid and Year 2087 and I hope they both collaborate in the future; their skills compliment each other which really helps the music they make together shine a bright light on what both of them are doing.
