Art Schop - In the Street

Art Schop is a music project created by Martin G. Walker, who is also a published philosopher. An experienced musician, Walker has released two previous Art Schop albums with a third on the way soon. Today we dig into the single “In the Street” from Art Schop’s upcoming album Starguide, due out on August 13th.

“In the Street” captures a bit of of both a high-art and conceptual vibe - its ethereal atmosphere is certainly music for people who enjoy reflecting about the music they listen to. The instrumental track, aided by clean production, really sets up a spacey ambiance. The vocals take a soft approach that goes extremely well with the backing track and brings the song’s atmospheric vibe full circle. “In the Street” is the type of song you will want to pay full attention to so as to truly understand every layer in this deep track.

When listening to “In the Street” you can tell that Martin G. Walker is not just a musician; through his Art Schop music he also shines as an artist, creating a deeply textured and thought provoking sound.
